Associate Electrical Engineer

With a wealth of experience Scott is a key part of our MEP design team with his strength in electrical engineering. With excellent engineering skills he has the ability to adapt, analyse problems and assess solutions efficiently.  Meticulous in his work he actively encourages and plays a key role in the development of younger engineers.

Professional Credentials

Education Background

  • Scott studied as a modern apprentice gaining his NVQ3 qualification in Electrical Installation in 1998 at Colchester Institute.
 
  • Scott successfully passed his ONC in Electrical & Electronic Engineering at the Suffolk College in Ipswich in 2000.
 
  • In 2002 Scott gained his HNC in Building Services where he studied at The West Suffolk College in Bury St Edmunds.
 
  • In 2015 Scott enrolled as a member of the IET where he was successfully awarded his IEng professional registration and enrolled on the engineering council.

Professional Experience

  • Scott started his career working in the design office for a design and build contractor where he combined his work with his studies from 1998-2005.
 
  • Scott joined a large consultancy in 2005 where he worked as part of the design team on a number of large scale projects covering the education, office and residential sectors.
 
  • In 2013 Scott moved to another consultancy where he worked closely with clients and contractors developing the MEP requirements for multiple large scale projects from concept to completion, Scott gained extensive experience within a number of sectors during his time, notably in commercial, residential, rail & defence.

Hobbies & Interests

  • Scott embraces travelling, discovering new cultures and has an interest in learning new languages.
 
  • An avid sports fan, Scott enjoys all things sports related, he just wishes his ageing legs can keep up!
 
  • At home, Scott is keen to develop his cooking skills and is often trying different cuisines from various cultures for his family to enjoy.
