Theo is an ambitious individual who has a strong passion for fitness, cars, and technology. Currently pursuing his BEng in Building Services Engineering at London Southbank University, he balances his studies with his commitment to personal and professional growth at AWA. 

With dedication to excellence, Theo constantly tries to improve his practical and academic expertise to have a positive impact on the industry. 

He is currently the CIBSE YEN chair for the East Anglian region.

Professional Credentials

Education Background

  • Theo attended Farlingaye High School in Woodbridge Suffolk, near to where he grew up completing his GCSE’s.

  • Theo moved to Suffolk One Sixth Form College and completed his Level 3 BTEC Extended in Engineering.

  • Theo started his apprenticeship in 2019 and began working towards his HNC in Building Services Engineering at London South Bank University, upon completion he progressed onto the Building Services Engineering BEng which he will complete in 2025.

Professional Experience

  • In 2019 Theo joined a local Multidisciplinary Design Consultancy specializing in the education and commercial sectors. He began his career in the M&E department as a Trainee Building Services Engineer, Along attending university once a week, supporting senior engineers in the design, calculation and report writing on projects from RIBA stages 2-6.

  • After a year as a Trainee he was promoted to Intermediate Building Services Engineer and began to lead his own projects with support from senior and principal engineers. Theo Joined the East Anglian CIBSE committee and was elected as the Young Engineers Network (YEN) Chair for the region, where he attends global YEN meetings and supports his committee to encourage other young engineers to achieve the best they can.

  • At the start of 2023 Theo joined us at AWA as Mechanical Engineer and has been working on a multitude of projects within the commercial and Residential sectors, supporting senior and associate engineers along with leading his own projects and developing his knowledge.

Hobbies & Interests

  • Theo enjoys many sports, he plays 5 a side football with his friends in a local league , he tries to get to the gym 5/6 times a week and also enjoys ocean kayaking on the shores of “Costa Del Felixstowe”.

  • Theo is a huge fan of F1 and many other motorsports, he enjoys watching many events like the Goodwood festival of speed along with attending many local car events.
