Tom Lagden

Revit Technician

Tom joined AWA in 2010 and is currently a Revit Technician, using Revit to model M&E services for various projects.

A valued member of the team, he has gained over 10 years experience with AWA, contributing on various residential and commercial projects using both AutoCAD and Revit software.

Liaising with our in-house mechanical and electrical engineers, he helps to produce co-ordinated MEP models for various clients on a projects within the residential & commercial sectors.

Professional Credentials

Education Background

  • Tom Attended St Thomas More High School in Westcliff, completing GCSE’s and obtaining a distinction in Art.

  • Tom completed his A Levels at Seevic College in Benfleet.

  • Tom attended Anglia Ruskin University in Chelmsford where he completed a BSc(hons) in Computer Aided Product Design, graduating in 2004.

Professional Experience

  • Tom began his career as a CAD Technician in 2006, and progressed into a building services CAD technician role with a London consultancy in 2009.

  • Tom joined AWA in 2010 as a CAD Technician, working on various residential projects. He supported the development of the internal CAD block library and standards, Tom was a key member in training, supporting & development of new staff into the business with AutoCAD.

  • Tom progressed to Revit Technician in 2016, and has since worked on various projects gaining experience modelling  M&E services.

Hobbies & Interests

  • Tom enjoys gardening and horticulture, successfully growing his own fruit and vegetables.

  • Tom is a fan of Basketball, and played for his house team at high school.

  • Tom enjoys creative hobbies such as art and music, and plays the keyboard in his spare time.
