Ryan progressed to Colchester Institute to undertake an NVQ in Carpentry & Joinery, City & Guilds Levels 2 & 3 in CAD & City & Guilds in Level 2/3 Electrical Installation and Testing
Ryan completed his HNC in Electronics & Electrical Engineering from the Teeside University in 2017.
Professional Experience
- In 2000 Ryan started on site as an apprentice carpenter from the age 16 working on all aspects of construction. Whilst on site during the day Ryan was undertaking CAD design training in the evenings to help produce drawings and to gain knowledge on how they are produced.
With an interest in electrical installations and wanting to add more technical knowledge Ryan gained his City & Guilds Level 2/3 in electrical installation and testing in 2008
A break away from construction saw Ryan retrain as a Children’s nurse spending 3 year at university and 6 years as a children’s intensive care nurse in London and Cambridge specialising in neurological and cardiac conditions. This experience gave me more insight into critical teamwork and achieving deadlines under extreme pressures.
With a keen interest still firmly lodged in electrical design Ryan retrained again whilst nursing in 2016 obtaining an engineering mathematical qualification.
