Moulsham High School is a secondary school located in the city of Chelmsford and has developed an excellent reputation as being a school with good results at GCSE and A-levels.
To further cement their credentials, the school undertook plans for the design and erection of a new Auditorium, science classrooms & ancillary areas, along with the refurbishments to other areas in the existing school building.
The facilities including Spacious, cutting edge science laboratories with an additional Sixth Form teaching room. The new auditorium seats over 350 people, with lighting, sound and staging which is the envy of many theatres in the West End. It is a space which the students, staff and community fully deserve and will make good use of for years to come, along with the additional astroturf pitch complete for the students and local community to use.
Key features include: M&E services associated with proposed auditorium, LED lighting, LED colour changing, DALI lighting management systems, general small power, AV/presentation systems, mechanical ventilation systems, LTHW systems, domestic water system, drainage systems and BMS systems, thermal modelling setting the new facade performance criteria, Cooling and mix of natural and forced ventilation solutions.
The new state of the art Auditorium was officially opened on Thursday, 18 July 2019 by Chelmsford MP, Mrs Vicky Ford
