£137m Residential-led mixed-use development in South Kilburn.
AWA are delighted to have been appointed by Countryside Properties to carry out the Mechanical, Electrical, Public Heath & Utility Infrastructure design for the first phase of the Peel Precinct development.
The high-density full Peel Precinct development features seven new buildings, including a landmark 16-storey tower block. There are approximately 226 new homes being created and the development will also include a Health & Wellbeing Hub featuring a health centre and gym, a selection of shops and a new market square.
The scheme will be built in three phases with the first phase expected to start in 2018 and will form part of the wider £400m regeneration of South Kilburn, which will create 2,400 homes.
As part of the development, the vacation and demolition of the existing blocks will pave way for the first units to be constructed, housing all existing tenants currently remaining on the Peel site.
The overall development will be designed to incorporate a 1.1 MW gas fired central plant incorporating a CHP unit and possible future connection to the South Kilburn Neighbourhood Heating System.
