Ilford Housing Zone
AWA are delighted to announce that they have been appointed to carry out the M&E design for a new residential scheme Peachey House in Ilford. Peachey House is part of the `Ilford Housing Zone’ announced by the mayor of London, which aims to provide more than 2000 new homes, including 500 affordable houses, by 2021. The Ilford Hill and High Road areas have been designated, and the total investment could be more than £500 million.
The zone is designed to boost the borough’s housing supply, capitalize on the arrival of Crossrail and promote the area.
Plans include 144 units over three blocks of 10, 14 and 18 storey’s in height, and ground floor commercial floor space, with associated landscaping, amenity space, parking and new public realm. A new CHP Energy centre distributes heating & hot water to all dwellings across the site.
