As we reach the festive season at the end of another busy year for AWA we reflect on what has been another great year for us in an ever changing and challenging industry.
We don’t see 2019 being any less of a challenge, especially with the transition out of the EU in March 2019. However, with projects already secured for 2019, we are hopeful that the impact of Brexit on the Construction Industry is not as great as some foresee.
As we progress through 2019 AWA want to ensure that young people get the opportunity to work in Building Services Engineering. To enable this to happen we have attended local schools’ careers fairs offering opportunities for both GCSE and A level Students. We are hopeful that this recruitment approach will see the next generation engineers working and learning at AWA from September 2019.
During 2018 AWA joined Mates In Mind, a registered Charity, who raise awareness, address the stigma of poor mental health and improve positive mental wellbeing in the UK Construction Industry. AWA take the mental health of our staff very seriously and will continue to work with Mates In Mind to promote awareness and addressing the stigma of Mental Health during 2019.
Every member of staff has played their part in the progression of AWA this year and we couldn’t do what we do without their contributions. Continued personal development has been key this year with members of the team becoming recognised for their skills by their chartered institution.
We are especially grateful, as always, to our existing clients for their continued support and to our new clients we have gained throughout the year who have provided us with some fantastic new projects. We would like to personally thank them for giving us the opportunity to work with them over the past 12 months.
We have always prided ourselves on our client service and we hope that you have seen the continued improvement at whatever point you have encountered the company.
Thank you for your continued support and we would like to wish all our clients, staff, friends and families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Here’s to a healthy and prosperous 2019.
